My problems TOP 8.

1. I always go for guys that turn out to be crazy. Or emotionally unstable. Or just looking to be in a relationship. Or guys that like Jersey Shore.

2. I am really bad at math. When I subtract I add up the smaller number until I get to the bigger number. I also don't know anything about fractions. Nothing.

3. I have a strange fascination with clothes. But I am NEVER satisfied with what I am wearing. It's like the problem some people have- when they order something off the menu and their friend orders something different and then when the food comes they wish they had gotten what their friend had ordered. So it actually isn't like that at all, but I have that problem as well.

4. I am one of the biggest procrastinator in the whole world. February 29th is my favorite day to do things.

5. I think I am important enough to have a blog. Enough said. Anyone who thinks their words are important enough to put out into the inter-world is messed. Including me.

6. I have no sense of loudness. I say secrets at loud volumes and I will talk about people as they walk towards me, not knowing that they can hear me perfectly well.

7. I am never full. I could eat all day if I had enough time. That is really what is keeping me from being 1,000 pounds. Lack of time to stuff my face.

8. I LIVE for T.V. show. I get way too obsessed and will not do anything but watch said show for DAYS on end until I finish. The office? Done. One Tree Hill? Done. Gilmore Girls? Done. Awkward? Done. I could go on for many more pages but I'll spare you the dets.

9. And because I said I was bad at math... Sometimes I'll go a whole conversation with out hearing anything anyone is saying. I have little patience for small talk. I'd rather awkward silence fill the moment. I love awkward situations. They are my top favorite things in this world.

Harry Potter Wedding.

I found the ultimate wedding. Something that blew my Harry Potter obsessed mind.
A fucking Harry Potter themed wedding.
Woah.
I know.
Crazy, yet wonderful.
So that got me thinking of course...
What characteristics of Harry Potter would I like to have in MY wedding...
I took a quick gander through the interweb and this is what I came up with.

I would like to be proposed to this way please...

Hair would look a little something like this...

Husband would look something like this:

Dress would look a little something like this.

Wedding party would look a little something like this:

Tables might look something like this:

Dinner may look a little something like this...

And our honeymoon... well it would be more like this:

Dancing Men.

This summer, I had the opportunity to see fully grown men, boys and a mixture of the two come fully into their own skin and dance their heart out. Many of you are probably wondering why this is such a great opportunity, and worthy of a new post.
My story is this- I have never seen a boy or man look more powerful, wonderful and relaxed as when he is dancing his heart out. When I say dance, I don't mean the "seaweed" type dance that you see in high schools, and clubs all over the world. I mean grounded dancing where passion, meaning and love seep through every step that they take. If you have ever been in a room where over 10 males are dancing (without any females) you can feel the energy that they have lived their whole life carrying start to lift- and take flight high into the rafters as they are free for an hour or two.

So boys- this is for you.

So many boys put on those dark masks.
They are forced to feel scared, judged and alone.
They tie it over their hair and never let the strings come undone.
Never getting to show their real and magnificent faces to the world.
They have no one to watch them dance their own life stories.
Pushed, pulled and shoved to the back of the bus.
Oh, brothers. I see your faces covered in war
One that is not yours to fight for.

I've watched you grow cold, guarded and mean.
Watched you place cloaks over your beings.
Guns keep you safe, instead of your fathers.
Young girls keep you warm, instead of your mothers.
I ask you my brothers, keep your head up and smile.

I see so much passion in each one of you.
Keep your lights on.
You are brighter than you let show.

Thank you for dancing from your unguarded hearts.
For expressing yourself and being alive
As I watched you, young men
I got tears in my eyes.

I have this fear-
That most of you cry only when you are alone.
That you live in a society where you're aren't supposed to  express yourself.
That this second of dance is the most alive you will ever feel.
I have this fear-
That most of you will put that mask back on when you walk out of the door.

So many masks on my boys and men.

You, my boys ripped them free and let your soul show.

Thank you. I love you.

For the love of books.

It wasn't an easy task to get me to enjoy reading. I very easily could have been one of the kids that sit in the back of classroom, never raising their hand, never speaking up, and who never join the book club. Instead, I read a small book, over and over again when I was younger... I was older than many I'll admit, but still, it changed my life and it is because of this book that I'm where I am today.
It is because of a small toad, and frog... or Frog and Toad if you will, that I love to read.
Thank you kind sirs for being such a great comfort to a strange kid in need.

So now that I have gotten over the awkward stage of not being ABLE to read, I think it's about time that I list some of my favorite books of all time, or at the moment, with all of you.

1.The Hunger Games Trilogy
So, the reason I actually started this book, was in fact for my Book Club, but wow, was it a good pick for the month of November. I tore through that shit like Christmas rapping paper. SO GOOD. The movie is in the making, set to be released in March so get on it. You don't want it to become the next Twilight and you to still be in the dark with no clue what a Tribute or MockingJay is. Trust me.

2. Harry Potter series of course.
Needs no explanation, If you haven't read it, do. If you are reading it.. good for you. It's the best. It's also why I have a Harry Potter spell tattooed onto my body. Jokes... kind of. Harry, Ron and Hermione where some of my closest friends growing up.

3. My Journal.
It's a fun read, full of really delishious details of my life.
But really? It's full of lists and half finished musings... Not exactly what I'd call a "fun read" but I'd consider it to be something of high value to me at the moment.

4. Restaurant menus.
Sometimes they read like a long dreaded novel... too many choices, too many words and not enough pictures, but they always have a great payoff in the end. You are bound to leave feeling satisfied and wondering when you will read another. I only wish I had enough money to see more of these guys. #brokecollegestudent

5. My student's Essays.
I am in charge of 25 freshmen this fall term and I have the awesome privilege of reading all of the essays that they turn in. Yeah, it's fun. Lots.

6. The Bible.
Although I have never read it, nor do I plan on ever reading it. I hear it's quite good and has gotten excellent reviews. Most of whom I've talked to that liked it say it changed their lives. From what it sounds like, it's got some great quotes and moral lessons up the wazzoo.

7. Yahoo Home Page.
OMG news is how I stay updated on the latest Justin and Selena gossip. I don't know what I would do without it. Sometimes I forget the whole reason I am going onto Yahoo in the first place... so for all of those people who have been trying to get in contact with me via email... Sorry, you are just not as interesting as Weird News.

8. Sisterhood Everlasting.
For those of you who were obsessed with the Sisterhood of the Traveling pants... to the point that you tried to find a pair that would fit all three of YOUR best friends, this is a great book for you. I loved it, and for me, if I find any epilogue book that I'm content with, I know the author has done well. It made me cry, laugh, and wish I was living the story along with them. I highly recommend it.

9. Facebook.
It's not my favorite... but I do find myself spending a lot of time on it, it has pictures which is a plus. I'd like to think of "The Book" as a half entertaining textbook you feel like you have to read to pass a class. I think I just might get an A.

10. Taylor Swift Lyrics.
They speak right to my soul. Every time. Evvvvverrrrrrryyyy time.
SO good. SOOOO GOOD.
