Mistletoe.

If athletes get athletes foot, what do astronauts get?
...
MISTLETOE!!

Actually deadly when eaten and a parasite to the trees that they grow on... mistletoe is still one of my favorite things to collect around my farm. I love the fact that one small leafy green thing is supposed to symbolize love and romance, new crushes and the holidays. (It also reminds me GREATLY of Justin Bieber so that's always great.) I myself have NEVER been kissed under the mistletoe (unless you count my mom) but I have ALWAYS wanted to be. Being smooched under a poisonous branch of leafy greens sound like my idea of fun. I've kissed under worse I am SURE.
Well, anyway, the point of this post is to tell you HOW EXCITED I am for the holidays. My families famous Solstice party (now renamed as the solstice festival) is tonight and I have spent the day getting our house to look just the way that a holiday party house should. So now, our house smells like cloves, cinnamon, oranges, and is decorated to the brim with green and red-- and of course, MISTLETOE!

I don't have much hope for getting smooched tonight, but the fact that it is even up is exciting. Maybe SOMEONE will get lucky tonight.
Cheers to all! And to all a good night!
It's actually kind of ugly don't you think??

I will be sure to blog about the night tomorrow-- and put up pictures soon of my wonderful weekend in the city. I can't wait to tell you all about that adventure!
