GO DUCKS

Here I sit, in a cushioned chair on the University of Oregon campus watching students dressed in ridiculous amounts of green and yellow walk past me on the way to the game.
I love game days.
Even when I'm not going to the game, I love the idea of them. I love the fact that everyone is suddenly banned together, united against anyone and everyone.
I love the fact that the band plays pump up songs that you can hear no matter where you are on campus.
I love the fact that people are smiling and even the teachers are ready for the game to start.
I love the fact that when you walk past someone randomly on the street you are suddenly encouraged to yell "Go Duckkkksss!"
I love the long walk to Atuzen Stadium when drunk girls stumble and boys are overly obnoxious.
I knew that I was meant to go to a big school because I love this sort of shit, I thrive on competition and team spirit. It's what got me though high school.
I love game days because we are a good team and we win.
I love game days because drunk girls walk home the next day with the O stickers they had on the night before still on their faces.
I love it all!
I didn't get tickets to the game, but I'm really not that worried about it. I plan on sitting alone in my apartment complex and watching it, so I can yell really loud and people won't judge me. I can actually watch the game without stupid girl talking all the way though it.
Because one more thing--
I actually LIKE and UNDERSTAND football.

GOOOOO DUCKKKKKSSSS!!
